Eco collection carpets have been selected, only from leading carpet manufacturers that have demonstrated and achieved specific Environmental credentials. In many instances these carpets will specifically meet either, the NZ Environmental Choice criteria or the Australian Green Star rating. In all instances, these manufacturers have demonstrated a long standing commitment to minimise their impact on the environment in terms of materials used, water conserved, energy consumed, waste produced and emissions. This strict criteria is adhered to in the manufacturing of all wool or wool rich carpets displayed in this collection.

Warranty

Eco collection carpets are backed by a full manufacturers warranty to ensure you have complete peace of mind knowing that your selection will not only look great now but will continue to perform well for many years to come. This carpet is guaranteed to perform within accepted tolerances in relation to excessive wear and tear in a domestic environment for a minimum period of 7 years from date of sale.

Eco collection carpets have been specifically treated against insect and moth infestation and carry a 5 year warranty from date of sale.

General inforMation

Eco collection carpets will only be installed by fully trained and qualified professionals that meet all standards set under AS/NZS 2455:1995. In addition to the manufacturers warranty stated above, a lifetime installation guarantee ensures further peace of mind. (See specific details from your licensed dealer).

Walk off mats of sufficient size are recommended at building entries and exits to reduce soiling.

Chair mats are recommended under chairs with castors or rollers to preserve appearance retention and avoid premature wear. (Direct wear from castors or rollers is excluded from all warranties).

Due to the nature of textured or patterned carpets, variances in width and length can be expected. For this reason an exact pattern match is often not possible and will not be deemed acceptable grounds for a warranty claim. (See licensed dealer for more details).

Tracking or Shading, often called watermarking, pile reversal or puddling, is an inherent characteristic of all cut pile or cut and loop pile carpets. Shading is the affect of dark and/or light irregular patches brought about from the pile leaning in one direction or other in reverse to the adjacent pile. Tracking or Shading does not constitute a manufacturing defect.

Peaking of seams or raised seams is caused by the thickness of the heated joining tape under the carpet. It is an inherent characteristic of a conventional carpet installation stretched over underlay. It is often prominent in some rooms and not in others as it is dependent on light source, colour and style of carpet. Peaking seams do not constitute an installation fault, provided the seam is completed to industry standards and best trade practice.
