Feature Home: Premium Flooring Solutions for a Stunning RS Built Home
Posted August 11, 2026
At The Flooring Centre, we take pride in helping Canterbury homeowners, builders, and developers find flooring solutions that combine style, durability, and long-term performance. One of our latest projects saw us partner with RS Built on a beautifully designed feature home at 116 Halpin Drive, Lincoln, showcasing why The Flooring Centre is a trusted choice for flooring in Canterbury, including flooring solutions for new builds throughout the region.
This impressive four-bedroom, two-bathroom home, complete with a triple-car garage, has been thoughtfully designed for modern family living, with carefully selected flooring providing both practicality and timeless appeal throughout the property.
Expert Flooring Selection for a Canterbury New Build
When it came to selecting the flooring for this Lincoln home, our Sales Consultant Sam worked closely with Sophie and Ross from RS Built to choose products that would complement the home's contemporary design while delivering exceptional performance for future homeowners.
As specialists in new build flooring in Canterbury, we understand the importance of selecting products that not only look great but are built to withstand everyday family life.
AquaPRO Supreme Laminate Flooring: Built for Style and Performance
For the main living areas, AquaPRO Supreme laminate flooring by Robert Malcolm was selected for its authentic timber appearance and outstanding durability.
A standout feature of AquaPRO Supreme is its AC5 wear rating, making it highly scratch resistant and an excellent choice for busy households. Whether it's children, pets, or the general wear and tear of daily life, this laminate flooring is designed to maintain its appearance for years to come.
Another key benefit is its excellent fade resistance, making it particularly well suited to Canterbury homes with large windows and sun-filled living spaces. Properties with north-facing aspects often experience significant UV exposure, and AquaPRO Supreme helps ensure the flooring continues to look its best even in areas that receive plenty of natural sunlight.
The flooring creates a seamless flow through the open-plan living spaces, enhancing the warmth and character of the home while providing a practical surface for everyday living.
For homeowners searching for laminate flooring in Canterbury, AquaPRO Supreme demonstrates how modern flooring can deliver both high-end aesthetics and exceptional performance.

New Zealand-Made Carpet for Comfort and Durability
To complement the laminate flooring, Cable Bay carpet by Feltex was chosen for the bedrooms and private living spaces.
Made here in New Zealand, Cable Bay is a premium solution dyed nylon carpet that offers outstanding durability as well as a soft, comfortable feel underfoot. Its solution dyed fibres provide excellent stain resistance and fade resistance, making it an ideal option for busy families seeking low-maintenance carpet that retains its appearance over time.
As one of the most popular carpet fibre types for modern homes, solution dyed nylon is prized for its resilience and practicality, making Cable Bay a smart choice for this high-quality Lincoln build.
The combination of AquaPRO Supreme laminate flooring and Cable Bay carpet delivers the perfect balance of durability, comfort, and timeless style throughout the home.

Triple-Car Garage Carpet Installation
The Flooring Centre also completed the garage carpet installation in the home's spacious triple-car garage.
Garage carpet continues to grow in popularity across Canterbury, providing homeowners with a cleaner, warmer, and more functional space. It creates a professional finish while helping protect the concrete substrate and reducing dust throughout the area.
For homeowners considering garage carpet in Canterbury, this project highlights how a well-finished garage can become a true extension of the home.
Garage carpet is an affordable and easy way to make a garage a multipurpose and more practical space.
Working Alongside RS Built
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was collaborating with the team at RS Built.
By working closely with Sophie and Ross, our Sales Consultant Sam was able to help select flooring solutions that aligned with the home's overall vision while delivering the performance and durability expected in a premium new build.
From the initial product selection through to installation, the focus was on creating a flooring package that would enhance the home's contemporary design while standing up to everyday family life.
What RS Built Had to Say
" We had a great experience from start to finish. Sam provided helpful advice in choosing the right flooring for our project, taking the time to answer our questions and explain the options. The installation was completed to a high standard, and we're very happy with the finished result. The new flooring looks fantastic, and the whole process was smooth and professional. We would happily recommend The Flooring Centre to anyone looking for quality flooring and excellent service."
