While we aim to provide a helpful guide, the calculator cannot account for every possible layout or installation requirement.

Step 1 - Select your carpet
Choose one of our popular pre-loaded carpet options from the dropdown menu.
If you have not yet selected a specific carpet, you can enter an estimated price per square metre (m²) at the top of the dropdown list.
Important information about carpet pricing:
Carpet is manufactured in fixed roll widths, most commonly 3.66 m or 4.0 m wide in New Zealand. Because of this, carpet can only be purchased by the full roll width (broadloom metre) not by the square metre.
If you have a broadloom metre price, you can convert this to square metres by using the following method:
Divide the broadloom metre price by the carpet width (3.66 m or 4.0 m)
Example: A carpet priced at $160.00 per broadloom metre equates to:
- $43.71 per m² for 3.66 m wide carpet
- $40.00 per m² for 4.0 m wide carpet

Step 2 - Enter your room measurements
Measure the longest length and widest width of each room, then enter these dimensions into the spaces provided. For irregular shaped rooms, measure the greatest length and width to ensure sufficient material is allowed.
Step 3 - Select installation options
Tick or untick the items you would like included in your estimate: Carpet: Underlay: Installation
You can save individual rooms using the blue “Save Room” box, allowing you to keep a running total of your project cost, which will display at the bottom of the calculator.
Additional Information
- The price shown is an estimate only and does not include the standard allowance for cutting and wastage, which is typically around 10-13% for carpet installations.
- Underlay pricing is based on 130 kg, 11 mm Luxury Foam Underlay.
- Patterned carpets may require additional material to ensure correct pattern matching.
