In this day and age we're all looking for new ways to make our lives more sustainable. Smaller homes are becoming the 'done' thing as we look to save on expensive rents, power and promote more environmentally friendly ways of living - and fully self contained cabins and pods (perfect for a batch or second dwelling) are taking it to a whole new level.
Our Feature Home this month is a stunning Ecospace dwelling. While having a small foot print it still exudes the features we often think of as luxuries such as tiles, timber flooring and natural light to die for. Check out the pics below and see just what is possible in small home living.
Gavin from Ecospace is at The Auckland Home Show - 4th to the 8th of September - with their eco-friendly transportable cabins and tiny homes.
Gavin has a passion for building that extends to eco-friendly builds and design. He has worked hard for years with his vision never faulting but developing in to what it is today. Working with James our flooring expert from our Auckland branch they found the perfect option for this small yet beautiful space.
The Premiere Oak engineered timber flooring in White Wash featured throughout is sustainably sourced from France and flows through into the bathroom - creating continuity in this well thought out space.

The open plan design takes advantage of every square metre with a queen bed, dining table and kitchen all contained within the small yet surprisingly spacious area.
Considering it's 18m2 footprint there's everything you could need... and we haven't even mentioned the gorgeous bathroom yet. Read on!
Because we're all about beautiful flooring - the Premiere Oak runs through to the bathroom and is beautifully paired with the cabinetry, shower and toilet. The bathroom only adds to the modern, fully self contained tiny home experience... and how cool is that toilet?
Overall we're super proud to have been involved with this awesome project - it's definitely worth a look if you're looking for a small fully self contained abode.
